Sermon Outlines:

Text: GENESIS 2:15-25

Subject:  "THE BIBLICAL FAMILY"

* This outline will only be a portion of a series of messages that are in progress.*

A . The Man

1.) Must be ( Linked )

Linked - United; connected, to be connected.

Genesis 2:18 - 20  Man has a need for a help meet. God recognized the need of man.

* God has a plan to put homes and families together.*

Notice with me 3 things from our text:

* SUBJECTION *

GEN. 2:21 -" And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept:"

* Adam was in subjection to God's will. God was in control of Adam's life. God was meeting the needs of Adam's life.*

*SPECIFIC*

GEN. 2:21 - 22 "....and he took ONE OF HIS RIBS, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;"

22. "And THE RIB, which the LORD GOD had taken from man, made he A WOMAN,........."

* God made one woman for one man. This woman was the perfect will of God for this man's life. God did not create a Steve, he created an Eve. God's plan is specific and
precise. God's perfect will is, one man, one woman, one life-time.*

*SPECIAL*

22.  "...and brought her unto the man."

Young people need not stress themselves out. God has a way of bringing lives together for his honour and glory. Just let go, and let God. God is so good. He has a
    sovereign will for your life.

A. TEXT - PSALMS 139:23-24 KJV

B. TITLE - "HOW AM I DOING LORD?"

C. OUTLINE

1. Search Me

PSALMS 139:23. Search me, O God, and know my heart:....

"Search" examination, finding out.
"Search" To look over or through for the purpose of finding something; To inquire, A seeking or looking for something.

References: MARK 7:21-23 KJV
                  MATT. 6:21 KJV
                  PROVERBS 4:23 KJV

* David here is being honest with God. He wants God to reveal to him the condition of his heart. In order to get right with God, we are gonna have to become honest with God. We can't hide any sin from God anyway. What has God been dealing with you about? If we would make David's prayer our prayer, God will show us how we are doing with him. If we will get honest we can have Revival!*

2. Try Me

verse 23...try me, and know my thoughts: 24. And see if there be any wicked way in me,...

"try" to test, to investigate, prove, examine, trial.

REFERENCE:

PSALMS 19:14 KJV "meditation" to ponder, imagine....

* David wanted his heart and mind to be right with God.
Every sin that man has ever got involved in started there
anyway. If we will allow God to search us, and try us he
will take care of our sin before it becomes a reallity in our life. I
believe that God knows that we will not be perfect
people. He does want us to be honest people. I believe
that honesty with God is the key to victory in our
  Christian life.

3. Lead Me

vs. 24.....and lead me in the way everlasting.

* God wants to lead us to liberty and victory in Jesus.
You and I must yield to his leadership and direction. It
starts with honesty, and then following Christ. We must
let go and let God. *

SCRIPTURE VERSES: 2 PETER 1:1-4

TEXT VERSE: ( 4.) Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

SUBJECT: "THE PROMISES OF GOD"

Notice: 4 of them in this outline.

Promise - Grounds for hope, expectation, assurance.

1. The Promise of Conversion

Romans 10:13- For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved..."SHALL BE SAVED."
    John 5:24
    John 10:9

2. The Promise of Closeness

James 4:8 - Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you...... "AND HE WILL"

    nigh - close or closer......

*James 4:6 - But he giveth more grace.....

    A. SAVING GRACE
    B. SUSTAINING GRACE
    C. SERVING GRACE
    D. STRENGTHENING GRACE

3.  The Promise of Cleansing

1 JOHN 1:9 - If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

     * IF WE  -  HE IS  -  ALL UNRIGHTEOUSNESS........

PSALMS 86:15 - But thou, O Lord, art a God full of compassion, and gracious, longsuffering, and plenteous in mercy and truth.

PROVERBS 28:13 - ......: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy..."SHALL HAVE MERCY"

4. The Promise of Cares

1 PETER 5:7 - Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you..."FOR HE CARETH FOR YOU."

care - anxiety, to trouble, concern, strain...

   * We live in a stressed out generation. The rat race of life is on every hand. The number of people that depend on medication just to sleep at night continues to climb.
It seems that there is a pill for everything. If not a pill, some type of diet or exercise program. The medical field gets richer and richer off of our stress and anguish.
Any and every type of vacation is available to take away our stress. Every type of support group that you could think of is available to us. Drug and alcohol use is at
an  all time high because Americans are so stressed out. This same problem has crept into our churches. The message of this article is that Jesus is the answer.
He has promised us that he really cares. He is able to lift your every burden. God in his Grace and mercy will see you through. Though the Lord does not remove our
problems, he does give us the Grace that we need to face them. I challenge you to put your trust in the Lord.

PSALMS 55:22 - Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.

Text: II CORINTHIANS 11:13-15

Text verse: 14. And no marvel; for Satan himself is
transformed into an angel of light.

Title: "Is He Really An Angel?"

* Friend, we live in a day of fraud and trickery. There is no
doubt that it is on every hand. From the used car
lot, to the church house, it permeates our society. In our
text, the Apostle Paul warns the church at Corinth,
of ministers of Satan that would disguise themselves as
  Gods true servants.

Notice with me 3 simple points from our text:

1. THE DECEITFUL

verse 13 " For such are false apostles DECEITFUL
                  workers,..."

"Deceitful" - Tending to mislead, deceive, trickish,
cheating. * A mixture of truth and error.*

"Deceit" - The leading of another person to believe what
is false. Fraud, Fallacy, Guile, etc...

Paul did not deny that they were apostles. He does not
deny that they are working toward a certain goal. He
explains that they are false, as well as deceitful. If a
person does not read the Bible,  study,
and think for themselves, that person is a
potential target to get their brain fried by a false ministry
  of deceit.

It reminds me of a deer walking through the woods. He can
see the tree. He can see the nuts and berries in the tree.
He can't see the hunter in the tree with a loaded 300
magnum in his hand. If we are not careful to see what's
really in the tree, we are going to get our head shot off
and mounted on the devil's wall!

2. THE DEVIL

    14. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into
         an angel of light.

    "transformed" - disguise
disguise - A false appearance, to conceal "using a
mask". To hide by a counterfeit appearance.

    * If my memory serves me correctly. The big bad wolf
got to Grandma's house faster than Little Red Riding Hood
did. When she got there she thought Grandma was in
the bed, sick. How many of us remember that when
she saw past the disguise, it really was not Grandma
at all. Sunday morning in church, you had better make
sure that its really "Grandma" !!!!!!!!!!!!  *

3.  THE DEVELOPMENT

verse 15. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be
                   transformed as the ministers of
righteousness; whose end shall be according
                   to their works.

    ministers - teacher, pastor, deacon......

1 JOHN 4:1 BELOVED, believe not every spirit, but try the
spirits whether they are of God: because many false
prophets are gone out into the world.

  * We live in a religious society. We had better read the
Bible and study it for our selves. The founder of the
Jehovah Witnesses organization was brought up as a
child in a baptist church. It is easy to be deceived, if
we do not study and think for ourselves.*

TEXT: John 13:34-35

Text. Verse: 35. "By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another."

Title: "Do They Know?"

INTRODUCTION: Jesus said that mankind would recognize that we are His follower, based on the love of God. The fellowship of the saints of God is a Bible based reality. Today in our fundamental baptist circles, fellowship is being destroyed. I find that personality and hate seem to dominate, rather than the love of God. I find that fellowship breaking is on every hand, rather than unity and the love of the Holy Ghost!  Someone should take the Word of God and stand up for harmony in the house of God. If there any place on planet Earth that people should be able to get some help and find someone who cares, it should be the church house. Many times, men of God come under attack from other so called preachers. The pulpit is a place to preach the Gospel, not to carry out a personal agenda. In this sermon outline, I will deal with only a portion of this most important Bible issue.

NOTICE NOW, 7 POINTS FROM OUR TEXT:

"DO THEY KNOW ?"

1. THE COMMANDMENT

vs. 34. "A new commandment I give unto you,....."

This is a COMMANDMENT FROM GOD. No one is a "compromiser" , when they are obedient to the word of God. This is found in our King James Bible.

2. THE CHARACTERISTIC

vs. 34. "..That ye love one another;..."

I JOHN 3:14-  "We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death."
I JOHN 4:21-  "And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also."
I JOHN 4:20- "If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?"
I JOHN 3:23- "And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment."

Time and space will not allow me to deal with the entire message. This is only a portion of the references. Contact us for a copy of the message.

GALATIANS 5:22- "But the fruit of the Spirit is love..."

3. THE CROSS

vs. 34. "..as I have loved you,..."

ROMANS 5:8- "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that,  while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."
The individual, or ministry, that majors on hate, bitterness and division, has FORGOTTEN CALVARY ! I was on my way to Hell, when Jesus rescued my never dying soul. It's not hard for me to love others, for it was my SAVIOUR
that first loved me. The problem is friends, we have drifted far from Jesus.

4. THE CHRISTIANS

vs. 34. "...that ye also love one another."

HEBREWS 13:! LET brotherly love continue.
Bro. Travis Clayton asked the question, "why did it ever stop?" .

PSALM 133:1- "BEHOLD, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!"
That would be a great camp meeting verse!

5. THE CAUSE

vs. 35.  "By this shall all men know..."

This principle is an identifying factor of true Christianity!

6. THE CONVERTED

vs. 35. "..that ye are my disciples,..."

I JOHN 3: 14-15  "We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren.  He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.
                           15. Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him."

7. THE CHALLENGE

vs. 35. "...if ye have love one to another."

We are challenged to have a Christ-like love toward the family of God.
